The CW Shad or "Cold Water" Shad is a mid-diving balsa crankbait hand made by The Lure Forge in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate NY.
The CW Shad is a re-imagining of a classic shad style crank bait and has many modifications that make it excel in many conditions but especially cooler water.

This bait has a 2 1/2 in balsa body with a circuit board bill. The bait weight has been adjusted such that casting distance is greatly improved over traditional shad style baits while retaining the classic tight swimming action.

The CW Shad has been designed to have a slow float. This combined with the circuit board bill allows the bait to swim very slowly when needed to trigger lethargic fish.

This bait works well year round but excels from fall to spring.

The bait features #4 super sharp Daiichi hooks and each bait features our signature detailed foil scales and gills along with hand painted eyes.

All baits and components are hand crafted and painted in-house.

Each bait is hand tested and tuned before leaving the shop.
